📖 Synopsis¶

Alexandria, October 1937. Night pharmacist Salma Fakhry compounds after the day book is locked. A formula waits on the slate in her own left-handed script. The patient has not come in. He is her landlord, Farid Khoury. The formula is an antidote. That afternoon the day book sold him a heart tonic under her cousin's stamp. Filling the antidote would certify the poison. Leaving it unfilled would let him die with her name on nothing.
